Natural Citrine is rare and mostly pale yellow. The name is derived from the word, "citrus". Citrine is a macrocrystalline variety of the mineral Quartz. The color is due to small amounts of iron impurities. Stable in light and not very sensitive to chemicals, this stone requires no special care and can be used for any jewelry application. Virtually all Citrine comes from Brazil.
