Instructions

Step 1: Working directly from the wire spool, use the Bone wire to string {1 Gold Luster Green Tea Magatama and 1 Matte Dark Olive Magatama} 200 times.

Step 2: Working directly from the wire spools, use the Bone wire, the Butterscotch Imperial Topaz wire, the Red Jasper wire, and the knitting spool to knit an 18" cord, following Style 3 of the Knitting Spool instructions, adding 2 Magatamas to every other stitch, and leaving 3" tails. Place Bead Stoppers on the wire ends.

Step 3: Use 40" of Chrysoprase wire to string 1 Matte Dark Olive Magatama, 1 Gold Luster Green Tea Magatama, and 1 Matte Dark Olive Magatama to the center of the wire. Use both wire ends to string the Olivine Navette pendant. Place a Bead Stopper on one end of the wire.

Step 4: Use the other end of the wire to string the Speeder Beader. Position the Navette pendant so that it's at the center of the knitted wire cord. Use the Speeder Beader to pass the Chrysoprase wire though the center of the knitted cord, to exit the back of the cord. Pass the wire back through to the front of the cord about 1/2" to the right of center.

Step 5: Remove the Speeder Beader, string 1 Khaki crystal bicone, and replace the Speeder Beader. Pass through to the back of the knitted cord about 1/4" from the previous pass-through. Pass back through to the front of the knitted cord about 1/4" from the previous pass-through.

Step 6: Remove the Speeder Beader, string 1 Gold Luster Green Tea Magatama, 1 Matte Dark Olive Magatama, 1 charm, 1 Matte Dark Olive Magatama, and 1 Gold Luster Green Tea Magatama, and replace the Speeder Beader. Pass through to the back of the knitted cord about 1/4" from the previous pass-through. Pass back through to the front of the knitted cord about 1/4" from the previous pass-through.

Step 7: Repeat Step 5 using 1 Peridot crystal bicone.

Step 8: Remove the Speeder Beader, string 1 Czech glass drop, and replace the Speeder Beader. Pass through to the back of the knitted cord about 1/4" from the previous pass-through. Pass back through to the front of the knitted cord about 1/4" from the previous pass-through.

Step 9: Repeat Step 5 using 1 Lime crystal bicone. Repeat Step 6. Repeat Step 5 using 1 Olivine crystal bicone. Repeat Step 8. Repeat Step 5. Repeat Step 6. Repeat Step 5 using 1 Peridot crystal bicone. Repeat Step 5 using 1 Lime crystal bicone. Repeat Step 5 using 1 Olivine crystal bicone. Repeat Step 5. Repeat Step 5 using 1 Peridot crystal bicone. Repeat Step 5 using 1 Lime crystal bicone. Repeat Step 5 using 1 Olivine crystal bicone.

Step 10: Continue weaving the Chrysoprase wire back and forth through the knitted cord until it reaches the end of the cord. Remove the Bead Stopper from the knitted cord wire ends. Use the ends of all four wire colors to string 1 crimp tube and one half of the clasp; pass back through the tube and crimp.  Click here for crimping instructions.

Step 11: Remove the Bead Stopper placed in Step 3. Repeat Steps 4-10 for the other half of the necklace.

Step 12: Working directly from the wire spool, use the 24-gauge wire to string {1 Gold Luster Green Tea Magatama and 1 Matter Dark Olive Magatama} 27 times. Wrap the wire end around the center of the knitted cord to the right of the Navette pendant. Wrap the wire around the knitted cord several times for 1/4". Wrap back toward the pendant, moving Magatamas up into the wrap so that they cluster at the front of the necklace. Wrap the wire around to the other side of the pedant and repeat entire step. Trim wire from the spool and tuck wire ends into the wrap.

Step 13: Working directly from the wire spool, use the 24-gauge wire to string {1 Gold Luster Green Tea Magatama and 1 Matter Dark Olive Magatama} 22 times. Wrap the wire end around the knitted cord to the inside of the crimped tube. Wrap the wire back and forth across the crimp tube to cover the tube. Wrap the wire over the knitted cord, away from the clasp, for about 3/4". Wrap the wire back and forth the 3/4", adding beads to the wrap so that they are scattered around the knitted cord. Trim wire from the spool and tuck wire ends into the wrap. Repeat entire step for the other end of the necklace.
