Czech Republic Surprise Collection Curated by Sara Oehler

Our Surprise Collections are true personal shopper kits. These packages are supported by pre-order funds. You opt in and let Sara become your curator. Our latest Surprise Collection is going to feature beads that she has personally selected from the Czech Republic. Pre-orders have been filled, but you can still grab a collection before they sell out - if you hurry!

In the video above, we went on a virtual journey to see what beads may be in store for this collection. Jon Kubricht is overseeing this project in the Czech Republic. He is working with Sara to collect the beads she wants in this collection. Sara is giving our customers a voice too. Czech Glass production began in Bohemia. Bohemia is now the western part of modern day Czech Republic. The oldest glass making artifacts discovered in the area date to around 1250 AD. The artisans that first started making glass were blessed with abundant natural resources. The exquisite production and stunning colors found a royal following and jewelry was created for kings and queens all over the world. There are glassmaking schools throughout the Czech Republic, including the oldest glassmaking school in the world.

Sara is an industry insider. For more than twenty years, she has been attending and teaching at bead shows across the globe. This collection turns her into your personal shopper! Sara is collaborating with vendors to hand select the Czech Glass Beads that she thinks would be the perfect addition to any beading collection. Including yours! When we conceived this Surprise Collection, we wanted it to be special. We have long been fans of Pantone's color choices and influence on fashion. We paired Pantone's Color of the Year with the extravagance of Tucson and this beautiful collection was born.

We sent Sara to the Tucson bead shows. Something Sara is keenly familiar with - she has spent more than twenty years visiting trade shows, selling beads, and teaching classes at shows around the world. Monthly Themed Design Challenge Kits

Our monthly Design Challenge Kits are a themed collection of beads and findings. Inside, you will find a colorway or idea that is supported by the contents. These kits are designed to be accessible to beginners and pros, alike. A beginner can make a bunch of jewelry with a single kit, provided they have two basic tools - crimping pliers and cutters. A designer can fill their beading supplies with the kit or create themed jewelry.

This month, we explored the great outdoors with our Camp Out Design Kit (Sold Out). This kit celebrated National Park Week. We wanted to make jewelry that was as inspiring and amazing as the cathedrals of pine in our national parks.

Our jewelry making parties reaches the beaches and rules the pools!

We had a blowout bash with Sarah James and friends. Both of our companies sold companion kits and if you bought both, you were invited to an afterparty. The jewelry instruction videos were all free to watch and join. Sarah James hosted the event. The first night, our friend Joyce Trowbridge took the plunge with Brittany Chavers. The second night, Soft Flex guru Sara got along swimmingly with her pool partner, Deb Floros.
