The Great Bead Extravaganza is back! The world's biggest online bead show returned at the end of March. This event is so lively and unique. If you managed to join the fun live, you would have experienced a shopping experience like no other. There was a jewelry making demonstration every hour, with a talented artist. There were huge sales that only come around during the big bead show. And there was a ton of giveaways. Did you win anything? Did you learn a new technique or get inspired to make something outside your skill set? Join the Facebook group and let us know what you loved about the show! If you missed out live, you can catch up on everything in this blog. Make sure you save the date for the next GBE!
Let's look at the makers. We have their presentations. We will give you their links. And we will check out some of the supplies they offer on their sites and stores. Get an intimate look at your favorite makers and crafters. Support small businesses. When you buy from the little guys, you are buying from artisans and crafters that are passionate about what they do and what they create! Big box department stores might have a huge selection, but they are staffed with people that are selling products, not people that adore what they do.
If you missed The Great Bead Extravaganza or just want to relive a favorite moment, we have organized everything in one location. We have all of the talented designers, all of the store links, all of the videos - all gathered here! This is the easiest way to catch up. Don't miss these instructive beading videos. You just might learn a new beading technique. You might learn how work with a new jewelry component. You might meet a new designer. This is a free beading class online. Learn something new today. Let's make jewelry!
Make sure you save the date and join us live for the next scheduled event!
The Great Bead Extravaganza
The world's biggest virtual bead show is back. Everything kind of stopped last year. Some of us spent the majority of the year distancing from others and living solitary lives. We missed normalcy. And boy, we really missed bead shows. We wanted to experience the fun and thrill of shopping with thousands of other like minded crafters and jewelry designers. We wanted to relive that frenzy as we rushed booth to booth and scoured the place for beads and findings that we could not live without. The Great Bead Extravaganza is the best way to revisit the enthusiasm and joy of the biggest bead shows.
The best thing about this glorious beading event is that the Great Bead Extravaganza can be visited from the comfort of your couch. You do not have to rub elbows with hundreds of other people. You do not have to wear a hot mask for hours on end. You do not have to worry about sanitizing your hands or catching the big nasty. This is pure shopping fun. Join the makers and learn the tricks of their trades. If you spend a couple of hours watching these talented designers, we guarantee you will come away with a new talent or better grasp on how to use a tool or product. The Great Bead Extravaganza is a place for saving money and learning a new skill.

From Kristen Fagan's site:
I create digitally, with beads, wire, pencil, paint and pastels on canvas, wood and paper. I want to see my art on fabric, stationary, home decor items and in collectors’ homes. When connected to creative source, time washes away, I find my truth, my peace and I’m free. I often paint nature because I feel loved and nurtured when I’m in the natural world. I am the oldest of three sisters who I wish I lived much closer to. I grew up on Long Island and spent my formative years exploring NYC as a “city girl”. I’m known to burst into fits of laughter and boogie my way to the center of a dance floor. I love anything created by my children. I volunteer as an art appreciation guide in my kids classrooms. I’ve traveled the United States to enjoy over 50 concerts by the band Phish. I met my husband, Bert, at a Phish concert in NYC in 1995 and again in Maine in 1997. I moved across the country to Arizona in 1998 with Bert and we have lived here ever since. Yoga has helped me to fully love and honor my body. With a large extended family, I grew up feeling loved by so many. It’s given me the courage to seek out love and happiness always. When I’m not creating, I’m spending time with my husband, our two kids and our dogs, Honey Bunny and Mary Bear.

Product: SilverSilk unique knitted wire jewelry chain, custom findings, instruction/kits
From Nealay Patel's site:
Silversilk is a very versatile, super fun, fetchingly fresh, knitted jewelry revolution! Simply put, SilverSilk is a knitted wire jewelry chain. But, it’s like no other jewelry chain out in the craft market. SilverSilk is made by many tiny latch-hook needles that spin around with wire, intricately machine-stitching the wire into an elegant yet strong and supple knitted wire chain. This knitted wire stitchwork offers the crafter new and unusual ways to use it. You can string large-hole beads on it, sew through it, wire-wrap it, glue it, put it in resin or just leave it as a draped jewelry chain. And best of all, you can do it yourself with the easy-to-follow tutorials on my channel, where I cover all the different product lines. Lucky for you, all the tutorials are available for free so you can just browse through the different playlists on the SilverSilk & More YouTube channel to learn how to best use each type of knitted wire lines I carry. It's fairly simple, and great both for beginner jewelry designers as well as those looking to expand on their use of materials. Just pick a knitted wire chain, explore and get creating. You can also head on over to Amazon to get my books on jewelry making that spell out everything you need to embark on your jewelry-making spree.
