Square Knot on a Macramé Board Instructions

Step 1: Start with two middle anchor wires and one separate knotting wire.

Step 2: Center the knotting wire under the two middle wires.

Step 3: Bring the right wire over and to the left of the two middle wires.

Step 4: Place the left wire over the right wire.

Step 5: Bring the left wire under the middle wires and through the loop formed on the right side.

Step 6: Pull the wires snug to create the first half of a square knot.

Step 7: Bring the left wire over and to the right of the two middle wires.

Step 8: Place the right wire over the left wire.

Step 9: Bring the right wire under the middle wires and through the loop formed on the left side.

Step 10: Pull the wires and you have a finished Square Knot.
