Our Badlands Design Kit was an unconventional collection of fall themed beading supplies. We wanted an autumn colorway, but we wanted to express it without seasons, leaves or a pumpkin motif. We love these iconic themes but we wanted this kit to feel different. This collection is an homage to the rugged landscape of the Badlands National Park in South Dakota. It has the earthy tones of autumn with accents of copper and turquoise colors. Check out the finished jewelry designs from this kit and join us for Kit Day. Kit Day is a Soft Flex Company 'holiday' that occurs on the last Wednesday of each month. Watch as we unbox our recent kit and reveal our newest curated collection of beading supplies!
Kit Day is here! The last Wednesday of each month seems to arrive so fast. Put it on your calendar. It will be here before you know it! Watch our live shows as we release our newest kits and unbox our previous kits. We reward our live viewers with a special giveaway chance. Badlands Jewelry Making Kit Reveal
Badlands are the ghosts of ancient mesas and plateaus. This land was once flat and unremarkable. Time and erosion have sheared the soil into steep ravines and gullies. Some cliff spires withstood the savages and tower up with earthen capstones topping the soft eroded soil below. Hoodoos reach for the sky like celestial totems. Rich colored clay adds an eerie essence, it paints the canyon walls in banded tapestries. Badlands take their name from French fur traders and Lakota people. These are bad lands to travel. The goblin shaped towers and unfriendly climbs do not welcome wheels or tired feet. The badlands keep the wanderers away and in doing so, we are gifted a view of prehistoric beauty that will survive the ages.
