Kit Day is here! We are celebrating Lunar New Year! Have your jewelry ready before the holiday festivities begin on February 1st. If you have never joined us for Kit Day, make sure you visit us on our social media. Sara will be doing a live broadcast on the Soft Flex Facebook page and YouTube Page, with the Lunar New Year Design Kit at 3pm (PT). Every Kit Day, we reveal our newest kit and announce the winner of the design challenge from our previous kit challenge. We present the winner with the newest kit for free. It is a festive day full of cheerful spirits.

Our kits are great for skill building. We want our kits to feel challenging. We want them to be accessible for beginners and advanced designers alike, but we love to throw in elements that may seem difficult to test our beaders skills and make them think out of the box. We think jewelry is great when it is easy. But when you really have to engage your mind and process your materials and tools, we think that your jewelry has the potential to be life changing.
Our kits may be inspired by a colorway or theme, but they are meant to be creative interpretations. Imagination and innovation do not follow the rules. Expect the unexpected.

Kristen showed us what she envisioned with her Rosé All Day supplies. She showed us how to make earrings with SilverSilk Pearlesque Chain and beads from the kit. We love SilverSilk. Want to add a little flavor to your next necklace? Kristen has a great idea for a handmade pendant. On this episode of Free Spirit Beading, she showed us how to make a ladder stitch pendant with beading wire and a cute focal. The fun thing about making a DIY pendant is that you can add length or shorten it as you like. Don't settle for store bought when you can make every jewelry piece you design unique!
Rosé All Day Beaded Earrings And Wine Glass Charm Bracelet
Kristen loves her Rosé All Day Design Kit supplies. She wanted to film one more project with this elegant jewelry making kit. For this episode of Free Spirit Beading, she made a bracelet with her supplies and a pair of earrings to match. She even incorporated the wine glass charm that we used to accent the package. James Browning, Soft Flex employee and multi-talented creative guru, handcrafted each of these cute little charms. It was too fun not to use in the design!

Short background on me and Space Pickle Designs:
I began beading a few years ago as a way to relax during downtime on deployments (I’m active duty military). I could pack a whole ton of beads in a small bag, so it was perfect. As my hobby grew, I began trying to find community through local bead shops and often found myself intimidated or not taken seriously, especially at the beginning. I had to rely primarily on books to teach me different techniques. Because of this, I started my YouTube channel with a whimsical name to encourage anyone and everyone to start beading without intimidation or judgement.

VIB Group Member Designs
We gathered a small assortment of fun designs from our VIB Facebook group. There were so many wonderful ideas and jewelry pieces. You really need to join our group to see them all.
