Make Jewelry With Wooden Blanks, Paint & A Green Girl Studios Mushroom Pendant

On Free Spirit Beading with Kristen Fagan, I wanted to share some of the exciting supplies that we had on sale. This gave me a chance to have fun with Ultimate Paints and blank wooden Pop Outs. Ultimate Paints are a fun way to add color to your jewelry. They are permanent to metal, wood, and more. You can add highlights to a metal charm. You can give your components a burst of color. You can also just have fun painting wooden blanks.

Ultimate Paints are great for beginners. Go slow and you can correct mistakes. You can also get playful and just see where the moment takes you. A couple of years ago, we had a beading party with Jess Lincoln of Vintaj. She showed us how to use the Pop Outs and blanks. At one point she took a panel of Pop Outs and dropped it on top of her paint. So playful and fun and her finished design was amazing! You can find that video below.

I felt whimsical and foresty. How do you think I did? I gave my mushroom charm, from Green Girl Studios, some highlights to make it pop. And I painted some vines on my chevron shaped blank. I can’t wait to wear my new necklace!
