Beading Party With Rebecca Combs Of Design & Adorn: Shine On Crystal Kumihimo
We spent time with Rebecca Combs of Design & Adorn last week. Rebecca showed how to design a kumihimo necklace (or wrap bracelet) using the Shine On Kit available at Design & Adorn. The kit comes with .019 Soft Flex Beading Wire, which is perfect for using on a kumihimo disk.
These kits are suitable for beaders of all levels, but if you're new to kumihimo please consult the Beaded Kumihimo Starter Guide and Understanding the Braid & Reading a Counted Pattern before you begin your project. Rebecca has been invited to exhibit her work at the Museum of Beadwork in Portland, Maine from April 5 to September 8, 2024.
While Rebecca was making her kumihimo necklace, Kristen Fagan finished her Book Lovers Multi-Media Earrings by coating them with a gloss glaze that is part of the Colourful Soul Ultimate Paints collection. The earrings were made using items from our sold out Book Lovers Beading Design Kit.
Kristen also showed this beautiful, brown and black kumihimo necklace that she made.
