Create Bracelets with Two Hole Beads, Bead Mixes and a Button Clasp!
This week on Free Spirit Beading with Kristen Fagan, make a jewelry design using interesting two-hole Czech Glass Beads, Bead Mixes and Soft Flex Beading Wire. Kristen shares a pattern with color and bead alternatives for two design ideas!

I knew I wanted to use this sweet dragonfly button and to my surprise, the purple teardrops next to the red rondelle bead mimicked dragonfly wings! Do you see that too? During the designing phase, I was stuck on whether to use my pink triangle two hole beads or the light purple carrier two-hole beads that came in the Customer Appreciation Week Butterfly Garden Design Kit. I snapped a photo and shared it in the Soft Flex VIB Studio Facebook Group to ask for feedback. It was a close call! Which made me realize there really wasn't a "wrong" answer. They both worked!
I decided to move forward with the triangle beads as I really loved the light raspberry color with the purple and red beads of the Butterfly Garden bead mix. I had a handful of other colors of the carrier beads available and thought it would be fun to pair a different color with the Summer Rain bead mix as an alternative.
I shared a few options on the video for the Summer Rain bead mix and ultimately went with the silver two hole carrier beads for that design. I strung some tiny delica beads (size 15/0) for the button clasp on the Summer Rain design. For the Butterfly Garden design I just left the purple wire as is.
I think they both turned out lovely! I love seeing color/bead alternatives! It fascinates me how a few tweaks really change the entire feel of the design.
