We celebrated Kit Day this week. Kit Day is our company creative holiday. On this day, we release our latest themed jewelry making kit and unbox the previous. This Kit Day was very special to us. We unboxed our October kit that was created in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Proceeds from this kit went to a charity we love, the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This disease has touched so very many of us and we wanted to support a foundation that is funding research and aiding those in need of health care and early detection. Support a great cause and spread awareness!
On Kit Day, Sara unboxed our Pink Warrior Support Squad Design Kit, live on our social media sites. She made jewelry for her best friend and in memory of her friend's mother, Cindy. When Sara was younger, Cindy was a good friend. Cindy was full of good will and love and Sara felt like family. Cindy lost her battle with breast cancer at a young age and it was devastating for Sara. Even now, decades later, the loss is still terrible.
Spread the word! Support breast cancer awareness and encourage friends and family to get checked and perform self examinations. Especially if they are at risk. We have some amazing jewelry tutorial videos for you this week. We watched Andrew from Allegory Gallery make a necklace with a random assortment of dice beads and colors. Break some rules and make an asymmetrical design today! Sparkle by Monica made some Halloween jewelry, in the style of Nightmare Before Christmas, using our Spider Queen Design Kit (Sold Out) and a mix from Jesse James Beads. Thunderhorse Descendant has an amazing series featuring our Foxy Lady Design Kit (Sold Out). This kit explored fall themes and was perfect for seasonal jewelry.
