Mocha Mousse Is The Pantone Color Of The Year 2025 Collage

What Is Mocha Mousse?

From Pantone:

For 2025, the Pantone Color Institute selects PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warming, brown hue imbued with richness. It nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort.

From Leatrice Eiseman (Executive Director Pantone Color Institute):

Underpinned by our desire for every day pleasures, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence. Sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse extends our perceptions of the browns from being humble and grounded to embrace aspirational and luxe.

From Laurie Pressman (Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute):

For Pantone Color of the Year 2025, we look to a mellow brown hue whose inherent richness and sensorial and comforting warmth extends further into our desire for comfort, and the indulgence of simple pleasures that we can gift and share with others.

Safari Inspired Design Kit Reveal With Mocha Mousse Elements

Our Safari  Design Kit had an adventurous theme that pairs well with a Mocha Mousse colorway. Check out this fun video for inspiration!

Grab your binoculars! We have entered the land of magnificent beasts. Behold the mighty Cape buffalo. This fearsome animal is gentle to members of the herd, but ferocious to any outside threat. And there! A sleek zebra with a dazzling coat. Watch as it engages in social grooming with a mate, this strengthens their incredible bond. Here come the elephants. Note the wet mud across their wrinkled brows - this will help them thrive in the most dreadful heat. What a spectacle! And there we have our king! The powerful lion and his mighty pride of hunters. We are truly privileged to see these wonderful creatures in their savage kingdom!

Pantone Colors for Trendsetting Jewelry

Mocha Mousse meets  Memory Wire!

Have you ever designed a bracelet with Memory Wire? Memory Wire is an easy to use stringing medium. Memory Wire comes in coiled circles. It is an incredibly hard wire and it retains it's shape. Once you cut the desired amount of coils for your design, you simply string your beads and then bend the wire into a loop to finish it, so your beads do not slip off. You can also glue the end of your Memory Wire and add a bead cap, but loops are likely more secure and you can add a dangle on the loop if you like.

There is one very important tip to learn before ever attempting to use Memory Wire. It is a hard temper wire that will absolutely destroy any beading cutters that were not made to cut it. If you opt to add Memory Wire to your beading supplies, make sure you have cutters that were designed to cut a very strong wire. Trust us. There is nothing fun about losing a pair of good cutters because you thought they could tackle Memory Wire.
