Trick Or Treat Jewelry Making Party With Jesse James Beads - Sara Oehler & Brittany Chavers

4 projects, 4 designers, 2 nights, 1 fun filled online event! Trick or Treat returned last weekend. We gathered some friends and made some ghoulish jewelry. Our eerie 2-night event was free for all to watch and enjoy. If you opted to deepen the experience, a kit was available from each company. Jesse James Beads offered the sweetest selection of spooky beads you have ever laid your bony fingers on. Soft Flex Company had an uncanny collection of spectral beading supplies (findings and wire). Those that purchased both kits were invited to continue the fun on a private Zoom party. It was a blast. Join us for the next celebration!

Our findings kit is still available, grab one here -  Trick or Treat Jewelry Making Party Kit 2022

Sarah James was our ghost host again. This show featured Brittany Chavers and Soft Flex guru Sara Oehler. Brittany made a mixed media necklace with Ombre Fairy Silk giving it a lovely green color. The tone is perfect for fall or for your favorite zombie! She also put together some stunning Boho earrings.

Trick Or Treat Jewelry Making Party With Jesse James Beads - Danielle Wickes & Jem Hawkes

Hold the show! Wait one minute. Why should kids have all of the fun on Halloween? We deserve a party, too! We wanted to share the joys of holidays with our friends in the beading community, so we have been collaborating with Jesse James Beads on various events throughout the years. We have celebrated Galentine's Day, Halloween, and Summer Pool Party jewelry making jams. We also donned our wizard hats and had a little shindig celebrating Harry Potter and his School of Magic.

Jem Hawkes was a brilliant addition to this year's festivities. She embraces Halloween as a holiday to remember her ancestors and also dive into creative jewelry exploration. She gets it! Be a little spiritual. Be a lotta funky and enjoy life! She created some stunning jewelry. This is a great course in wire wrapping. And her colorways are gothic gorgeous!

If you have spent any time on our website or social media, you know we absolutely adore the creative mind of  Danielle Wickes. Her knowledge of color and revolutionary designs always stun us. For her Halloween project, she went with an elegant and haunting collection. This necklace is perfect for a séance or a beautiful ball in a haunted house, save the last dance for your undead suitor!

Live Beading Party With Julianna Avelar & Tricia Giazzon Of Jewel Loom

We couldn't wait to throw another exciting  beading party. This time, we invited Juliana Avelar, owner of Jewel Loom, and Tricia Giazzon - designer extraordinaire! We wanted to learn more about the looms and supplies that Jewel Loom carries. Definitely give this store a visit if you are interested in jewelry looms!

Soft Flex Beading Wire Jewel Loom Earrings by Tricia Giazzon

Tricia Giazzon made this beautiful pair of earrings using Soft Flex beading wire. We had seen her make these earrings before when we found her streaming a live video on her YouTube channel. We were stunned by how well Soft Flex and Jewel Loom worked together and pretty soon, a bunch of Soft Flex employees paused their day to watch the magic.

Sara made the bracelet below using Soft Touch Beading Wire and our new Japanese Bamboo Table Cut Barrel Beads on a Jewel Loom beading loom. Our new beads are perfect for a simple strand on the loom.

Allegory Gallery: Beaded Pearl Cuff Bracelet With Soft Flex Craft Wire

Beaded Pearl Cuff Bracelet with Soft Flex Craft Wire by Allegory Gallery

From  Allegory Gallery:

Want to make this beaded, pearl cuff bracelet? It’s easy! Start off by making wire-wrapped links strung up with pearls. We used Soft Flex Craft Wire for that pop of black and made messy wraps to make them even more visible.

Pro Tip: it’s important that your links are all relatively the same size. One way to insure that is by cutting and using the same length wire for every link.

Beaded Pearl Cuff Bracelet with Soft Flex Craft Wire by Allegory Gallery

Using your memory wire cutters, cut two lengths of memory wire about the same length that comfortably encircles your wrist. Use your round nose pliers to curl up the ends of the memory wire to keep it from being sharp and to help hold beads in place. Once your links are completed, start stringing them up with some of those fire polished Czech glass beads in between. The size and shape of the pearls will determine how many Czech glass beads you have to string in between. When you get near the end, curl up the remaining ends of the memory wire to lock everything in place.

If you want to dress up the ends and add a little movement, string up a pearl bead on a headpin and create a wire-wrapped dangle that you attach to the memory wire loops. Add more if you’re feeling festive!
