Make a Butterfly and Flower Beaded Chicken Wire Suncatcher
On Free Spirit Beading with Kristen Fagan, I revisited one of my favorite trending crafts - beaded chicken wire suncatchers! Since I had previously shown my technique for creating the base of the suncatcher with an embroidery hoop and chicken wire, I started this video with this step already finished. You can watch the video below for the embroidery hoop technique.
In this video, I show you how to create beaded dangles with 22 gauge Craft Wire, jump rings, and beads from our Just Peachy Crystal and Pearl Bead Mix (I used two bags for the right number of butterflies and flowers).
Suncatchers are a great shareable craft for summer. Invite your kids or grandchildren to help out or have a beading party with friends. If you have a bead soup or just beads that don't really fit on the jewelry you make, a suncatcher is a great way to use those beads.
