Today we will have a small video recap. This season started with our own jewelry guru,  Sara Oehler, doing a guest spot. Sara had just moved from her home in the Sonoran Desert to a house that was within walking distance of the beach. It was quite a change of scenery for her and her jewelry reflected that. She designed some lovely bracelets that embraced both the desert and the oceanic life. Sara was excited to work on set with her friends, Jill Wiseman, Nealay Patel, and Katie Richbourg. Everybody had fun on and off the set.

Beads Baubles And Jewels - By The Sea, Episode 2701 with Sara Oehler

Sara's wonderful bracelet in the 'By The Sea' episode was an evolution of a project in the book she co-authored,  Seed Bead Revolution.

She used .010 Very Fine Soft Touch Beading Wire to weave SuperDuo seed beads together. She attached the ends with Soft Flex Beading Wire, 2x2mm crimp tubes and Magical Crimpers – all products from Soft Flex Company. The gorgeous clasp is from Green Girl Studios, one of her favorite component companies.

This Trios collection features all the wire Sara used to create her beautiful bracelet.

Beads Baubles And Jewels - Southwest, Episode 2704 with Sara Oehler

Sara worked with a knitting spool for her Southwestern flavored bracelet. The design looks complicated but it is so easy once you play with the spool for a bit.

In this project, Sara used three colors of .019 Medium Soft Flex beading wire – Turquoise, Red Jasper and Citrine. You can also find all three of these colors in our Trios Southwest Design Collection. These colors really evoke the spirit of the Southwest!

Sara took all three colors and knitted them together on a 4 pin knitting spool. She used Soft Flex crimp tubes (key for a good hold) on both ends to string and attach to findings from Saki Silver, one of her favorite findings companies. The decoration on the toggle clasp reminded her of a big sun and felt appropriate for a piece inspired by the sunny Southwest.

Beads Baubles And Jewels - A Breath Of Fresh Air, Episode 2709 With Nealay Patel

Episode 2709 features our good friend Nealay Patel, owner of SilverSilk and More using Soft Flex beading wire in a really neat and unusual way! His design entitled "Branching Out," pairs Silversilk (a knitted wire cording) with Soft Flex beading wire to make a unique look. Nealay is known for thinking outside of the box. His designs are always interesting and creative. Medium .019 Soft Flex beading wire was perfect for this project as it easily slips through the Silversilk and creates pretty branches that can be layered in a variety of lengths and colors.

We loved Nealay's color choices so much for this episode, we created a new Trios to match his design. Our Trios Extreme Metallics Collection looks so lovely. It is perfect for a design where you are really showing off the wire.

Trios Extreme Metallics Collection

For this design Nealay chose Soft Flex Extreme beading wire: 24 karat gold plated, 925 sterling silver plated and champagne. You could also use some neutral Soft Flex beading wire colors. Great neutral colors include: black onyx, bone, copper, antique brass, bronze and white quartz. For a funky version of this design, you can change the color of the Silversilk and/or Soft Flex beading wire. Fun colors in Soft Flex include: pink tourmaline, green turquoise, tanzanite, peridot and more. You could even choose a Soft Flex Trio for a fun color palette. Our Trios include three 10ft spools of beading wire in colors that will work together really well.

Nealay said, "Soft Flex Extreme wire helped achieve the texture and look I was going for. I wanted something that was wiry, but very soft and easy to wear and it weaved so well into the SilverSilk. I love using Soft Flex because I know my design will be high quality, tarnish resistant, and is flexible and easy to wear."

Beads Baubles And Jewels - Exotic Travels, Episode 2710 With Nealay Patel

Episode 2710 features one of our favorite designers - Nealay Patel, owner of SilverSilk and More using Soft Flex beading wire in a really fun way! His design entitled "Peacock Earrings," pairs Silversilk (a knitted wire cording) with Soft Flex beading wire to make a neat peacock feather look. Nealay is so creative. His designs are always interesting and inventive. Medium .019 Soft Flex beading wire was perfect for this project as it will maintain a little shape and comes in so many beautiful colors.

Nealay states, "I recommend having Silver and Gold for sure! They match with everything! I am a huge sucker for earth and jewel tones, so Lapis, Emerald, Copper, Amethyst, Garnet and Citrine." My favorite colors include the Turquoise, Spinel, Tanzanite and Purple Amethyst. As you can see, there are a lot to choose from a perfect palette for your next design! A color to fit every personality.

Beads Baubles And Jewels - Peaceful Pursuit, Episode 2713 With Kate Richbourg

Kate Richbourg was on episode 2713 - "Peaceful Pursuit". She was inspired by the Eiffel Tower and wanted to design a lariat that honored it. Her work is stunning and it really captures the essence of the iconic French landmark.

This type of design really shows off the flexibility of Soft Flex Beading Wire and is fairly easy to pull together as Kate will show you.

Beads Baubles And Jewels - Peaceful Pursuit, Episode 2713 With Jill Wiseman

Jill's project is full of sparkle. She uses our .010 Very Fine Soft Touch Beading Wire to weave a special crystal bracelet. This bracelet will come together fairly quickly and can most likely be completed in one sitting. It requires only basic weaving and crimping. Easy Peasy!

Soft Touch beading wire in our Very Fine diameter is the perfect fit for this design as crystals have sharp edges that will eat into a traditional beading thread. This wire has 7 strands of marine quality, stainless steel braided together and coated in satin silver, white or black nylon coating. It is strong and flexible for bead weaving.

In this segment, Jill says, "The other great thing about using beading wire, is you are able to use something that has really sharp edges (like Swarovski crystal beads) and not worry about whether it is going to cut."
