This week, we saw a diverse and incredible mix of jewelry making techniques. You are sure to find some happy inspiration. Kristen looked to the heavens above for ideas. She used our Twilight Sky Bead Mix to make a lovely jewelry set. Kay Goss, from Star's Beads, joined Kristen and Sara for a Beading Party. We have always enjoyed Kay's work and, lately, her creativity has made us tassel crazy. Join the tassel fun! Customer Appreciation Week is approaching and all of the participating exhibitors are now selling the kits they will be using for their jewelry demonstrations. The beading classes are all free to watch, but if you want to make the exact jewelry pieces the designers are making, you are going to want to grab the kits. Our kits are great for skill building. We want our kits to feel challenging. We want them to be accessible for beginners and advanced designers alike, but we love to throw in elements that may seem difficult to test our beaders skills and make them think out of the box. We think jewelry is great when it is easy. But when you really have to engage your mind and process your materials and tools, we think that your jewelry has the potential to be life changing.

Kristen enjoyed a day off, for her birthday, on Monday. If you enjoy her shows, make sure you send her some warm birthday wishes at our VIB Facebook group. Live Beading Party With Kay Goss Of Star's Beads
Beading Party! Kay Goss joined us for a jewelry making bonanza. We have known Kay and her husband for almost two decades. They used to travel to the same beading trade shows we did. It was always fun seeing their friendly faces. You can't be homesick when good friends are in the booth next to you! If you have been visiting Kay's Facebook or website, you know she is a lot of fun and full of super clever craft ideas.
Tassels have been hot lately and we got the tassel bug after watching one of Kay's amazing videos. Sara and Kristen sat down with Kay so they could make tassels together. We sent Kay our Peace and Love Design Kit, but it turned out she received our Foxy Lady Design Kit by accident. No worries. Kay used the package twine that wrapped our kit and Sara used the Peace and Love. Together we created a colorful rainbow of tassel fun. Kristen got extra creative and made a beaded wind charm.
