Exciting news for the Soft Flex team! Sara received an award at Bead Fest in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was recognized as a Top 5 Community Leader in 2023 by the Interweave Bead & Jewelry Team. This award was given to shining stars in the creative community as an acknowledgment of their hard work and innovation. While at the show, Sara and Kristen explored the Maker Festivals and even took to the stage to teach beading and crimping techniques. It was an amazing time and we cannot wait to share everything we saw and learned in the upcoming weeks!
Sara and Kristen explored the Maker Festivals at Bead Fest this week. This event featured beads, yarn, stitch, and art - a paradise for artists and creatives! You can be sure they will be bringing their discoveries to future videos and sharing tips and tricks they learned. They also threw a little beading party in their hotel room and gave us a jewelry making demonstration with items from our new beadwork findings and Miyuki Seed Beads.
We checked in on our friends and have more amazing beading tutorials from around the web. Marcie Creates unboxed our Moroccan Bazaar Design Kit (Sold Out) and showed us how to make a necklace with the kit. Rosanna Brafford made a gorgeous bracelet with our kit. Janet Boyer opened our Moroccan kit and gave her thoughts on the contents. Our jewelry making kits are themed and curated by staff. We want to transport you to new worlds and be full of inspiration the next time you string an amazing design!
Nealay opened his Playtime Mystery Kit and made a stunning necklace with Soft Flex wire and SilverSilk. Beki Foster gave us a summer trend jewelry piece with her Barbenheimer Bracelet. And finally, we checked out a jewelry class collaboration with Sam's Bead Shop and Green Girl Studios.

Live From Lancaster PA, For The Bead Fest Maker Festival
Sara and Kristen were in Lancaster, Pennsylvania this week. Just like old times! Before the pandemic hit, Soft Flex Company spent a good portion of the year traveling to bead shows and events across the States. Sara and Kristen got to relive those fun times of busy shows and comraderie.
The two took a little time to throw a beading party and enjoy the fun of creating. There is nothing better than sharing a fun moment of art and inspiration with a good friend. They used beadwork findings, from our site, to create pendants with Miyuki Seed Beads and Diamond Glaze. They made earrings and strung jewelry designs. It was the perfect way to shake off the stress of travel and the hustle of a bead show.
