So many haunting Halloween how-tos!  Kristen showed us how she makes pretty pumpkin earrings. She also added an elegant necklace that can be worn on any occasion. Sara celebrated Kit Day. Kit Day is our company holiday, we open our previous mystery kit and string some beaded jewelry. This time, Sara unboxed our Great Pumpkin Design Kit and made some yummy earrings and a stunning necklace. Aleshia, from Beadifulnights, opened our Great Pumpkin Design Kit on their YouTube channel and made some spirited Halloween jewelry. James opened our kit and created a Christmas Spider. And Nealay, owner of SilverSilk and More, designed some delicious pumpkin earrings. What a busy week!

Make Craft Wire Pumpkin Earrings and a Classic Black and Silver Bead Necklace

Holidays are always fun for free spirited beaders.  Kristen got into holiday mode and made some memorable beaded jewelry. This Halloween, she has some pretty little pumpkin earrings and a stunning necklace. Her pumpkins are wonderful for the spookiest night of the year or a cute pendant for the fall.

Kristen loved the pumpkin shaped beads from her Great Pumpkin Bead Strand. She knew they were perfect for sweet little pumpkin earrings. There are so many fun beads in this strand. Look how much character these pumpkins have! Adding a green bead at the top of the earring gives it a traditional Halloween look. Adding a silver bead turns your pumpkin glamorous. You can also use different colors of  Craft Wire. There are so many ways to make your pumpkin unique.

Kristen also made a classic black and silver necklace this week. This timeless jewelry design is perfect for any occasion. You can bring in the New Year with this elegant necklace or wear it to your best friend's wedding.

Pumpkin Earrings with SilverSilk Galaxy Wire

Nealay is a talented jewelry designer and the owner of SilverSilk and More.

This week,  Nealay created an adorable set of fall colored pumpkin earrings. This wonderful set looks so complicated, but is remarkably easy with the right components. Nealay's Galaxy Wire adds a sweet touch, it looks like he wire wrapped his pumpkin, but he simply draped his bead in the wire.

Galaxy Wire adds an amazing texture to the bead. Simply pull the wire over the bead. It takes very little wire to complete the look. The end caps cover the ends of the Galaxy Wire and add personality to the pumpkin.

It was fun seeing two great jewelry designers create pumpkins this week.  Kristen coiled her vines with pliers and Nealay wrapped his around a toothpick. Kristen's bead was a brilliant orange and Nealay's was a muted yellow. There is no right or wrong way to finish a jewelry design. Every designer gives their jewelry a signature touch. Great Pumpkin Design Kit Unboxing and Jewelry Making

Kit Day! We love Kit Day. It's our favorite company holiday. On this day, we open our previous  design kit and create a stunning piece of jewelry live on Facebook. Our design kits are themed mystery bead kits. We do not share the contents until the end of the month. Sara, or a guest, opens the kit and then creates a unique jewelry design. It is a great way to get inside the head of a talented beading artisan.

Beadifulnights: Soft Flex Mystery Design Kit Great Pumpkin Opening and Tutorial

There are some fabulous jewelry designers on  YouTube. We have our favorites and we love to share them with you. Beadifulnights' channel is full of wonderful jewelry projects, we wanted to see what Aleshia would create with one of our mystery design kits. We sent her our Great Pumpkin Design Kit. She unboxed our kit and gave her thoughts. She then designed a fun Halloween necklace and earrings. She also made a ring, but filmed a separate video for that design, you can watch that below.

Beadifulnights: Great Pumpkin Beaded Ring Tutorial

Aleshia filmed a second video using beads from our Great Pumpkin Design Kit. This time, she strung a gorgeous ring with our beads and Fireline thread. This ring would also look amazing using our Soft Touch Beading Wire. Our .010 Very Fine diameter is perfect for weaving, stitching, embellishing and knitting. It is basically a stainless steel thread.

This ring is so exotic.  Aleshia used four feet of wire, 6mm Czech beads, 11/0 seed beads, and 08/0 seed beads. You will need a needle and a steady hand. This design is for patient jewelry designers that love detailed work.

This ring is remarkable. The band is so intricate and interesting. The hematite colored seed beads swirling around the orange and black Czech beads look like a tiny maelstrom. So alluring and wonderful. I certainly would not have imagined creating a ring from the  Great Pumpkin Design Kit, what an amazing design! I can't wait to see Aleshia's next video!

Christmas Spider (or Halloween) Using Soft Flex Craft Wire and Beads

James returned with another episode of Conversations in Wire. He uploads a new episode every other Thursday. His episodes are not live, but if you catch him when the episode is uploaded, he is on chat and ready to answer any questions about Soft Flex Craft Wire and wire wrapping. This week, James unboxed our  Great Pumpkin Design Kit. James loves to work with Craft Wire. He is our Craft Wire Yoda. We knew that he would make an incredible wire wrapped design with the contents of the design kit.

James opted to create a Christmas Spider. He made a  Halloween spider a month ago. That spider was a HUGE hit. It kicked off an infestation of spiders on our Facebook group – VIB. His Halloween spider was a simple affair, he used two beads and Soft Flex Craft Wire. He also designed a web, because, hey - a spider needs a home!

This time, James added some beads to his spider's legs. It is much more decorative and dazzling. James used beads from our Halloween design kit, so the colors are ambiguous, it can be a Christmas or Halloween spider. What makes these little fellas so incredible is how you can make each spider unique. You can change your Craft Wire colors to give them a different look. You can use almost any style of bead - shape and color - to give the spider it's form. You can add beaded legs or just twist the wire to give the legs a fun texture. These wonderful spiders are considered a symbol of luck in parts of the world, Germany and Ukraine are two areas that celebrate with spiders. Give your Christmas mantle a dash of good fortune this year!
